Introduction to Construction Management (85 Hours) $1,355

This program was designed by industry professionals to provide individuals with the knowledge base to prepare entry level workers for success in the construction trades. Students will understand fundamental construction terminology; have the ability to explain and demonstrate his/her knowledge of job site safety, including HAZMAT and OSHA requirements; identify and demonstrate the use and care of hand tools, power tools, and blueprints; demonstrate basic communication skills; create a resume; complete an application and demonstrate the ability to successfully interview for a job.

Introduction to Construction Trades (80 Hours) $869
This program was designed by industry professionals to provide individuals with the knowledge base to prepare entry level workers for success in the construction trades. Students will understand fundamental construction terminology; have the ability to explain and demonstrate his/her knowledge of job site safety, including HAZMAT and OSHA requirements; identify and demonstrate the use and care of hand tools, power tools, and blueprints; demonstrate basic communication skills; create a resume; complete an application and demonstrate the ability to successfully interview for a job.

Low Voltage Fundamentals (95 Hours) $1,450
This program provides an overview of the alarm and telecommunications industries. The participant will understand the elements of professional conduct and trainees’ responsibilities to themselves, their employers, their customers, and their fellow workers; learns about materials and techniques used in constructing and finishing all forms of residential and commercial buildings, including wood and metal frame, brick and block, post and beam, poured and prefabricated concrete, and structural steel; learns about various drills and bits, and techniques used to drill through various construction materials. Includes coverage of fire- and soundrated walls and suspended ceilings; learns about the many types of conduits and wireways used in low voltage applications, along with their supporting hardware. Provides an overview of telecommunications cable pathways from the source to the destination, including maintenance holes, ducts, equipment rooms, and telecommunications closets; learns the hardware and systems used by a low voltage technician to mount and support boxes, receptacles, and other electrical components.

Project Management (90 Hours) $1,515

Participant learns about the phases of construction projects and the development of formal and informal organizations. Participants learn to identify their management styles, learning how and when to use their authority, in understanding how to resolve conflict, and how to motivate employees; learn to identify the key elements of negotiation process and interpreting nonverbal signals, as well as learning how to read and counter negotiation gambits; project managers that understanding and solving problems can mean the difference between profit or loss for the company; learns to identify the various documents and the documentation required on the various phases of a construction project; understands the various types of drawings and specifications to the final closeout documentation, this module gives project managers a critical understanding of documentation and the important reasons behind the need for solid documentation; learns the different phases of planning: pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.

Safety Orientation (20 Hours) $425

This program covers need-to-know information for work safety. It provides the student and employee with best practices for some of the most common hazardous situations on the job site. Includes what personal protective equipment to wear, how to perform basic construction tasks safely, and what to do if an accident occurs. They will learn related on-site safety and emergency response procedures; learn safe forklift traveling, load handling, and operation procedures. They also learn to properly perform pre-shift inspections and to work safely in areas where forklifts are in use. Students who successfully complete the program will receive their OSHA-10 Certification and First Aid and CPR Certification cards.
