Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP)

ABC's Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) provides members with a safety benchmarking and improvement tool with proven results. The best-performing members dramatically reduce recordable incidents compared to the industry average.

ABC members want to send their workers home safely every night.

Take the first step towards achieving world-class safety by participating in STEP, whether you are beginning your safety journey or continuing to strengthen your performance.

Getting started with STEP is free (unless you are applying for STEP Diamond or Platinum), and your responses are strictly confidential.  The process can help you lower your workers compensation insurance rates.
